Dusk 28: Priye

Two words. Shege. Jagwa. If you do not know what this is, I’m sorry but I cannot help you. If you want to find out, go on twitter and ask @priiye :p

I heard of the 30 days of hope, and thought the concept sounded interesting; maybe because I believe in the power of spoken words. I believe in “Decree(ing) a thing and it shall be established” (Job 22:28). I believe in “As you have spoken in my ears, so will I do it” (Num 14:28).

Lol… enough of the bible quotations. The year 2013 was a great year for me, but I know 2014 will be an even greater year. Yes! Because the word says “The path of the righteous is like a shining light; it shines brighter and brighter even on to a perfect day.” (Prov 4:18). So 2014 will only get better, yes! My Father who is the creator of the heaven and earth says so! I have learnt to let go and let God do his own thing.

I have just one resolution this year and that’s to be a better ME. I want to be a better wife, mother, lover, friend, sibling, child to my parents, keep a better relationship with my Maker, a better employee, render better services to my God and be a fitter me. Plan is generally to get better.

I have accepted my flaws and the plan this year is to work on them and be better. I have a couple of academic, financial, spiritual and personal goals I intend to achieve this year, but the bible says “Though the horse is ready for the battle, safety is of the Lord” (prov 21:31). I want to trust God with all my heart and not lean on my own understanding (Prov3:5). I may believe I have it all figured out but God has the final word on everything. This is me committing an Unknown 2014 into the hand of an all knowing God, knowing that “He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly more than I can ask or think through His power” (Eph 3:20)
